This app is offline-first. It does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything you record stays on your device.

Data We Collect

We collect no data.

This app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to any server, cloud service, or third party. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting services, and no advertising SDKs.

Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is created by you and stored locally on your device only:

  • GPS track points recorded during trips
  • Waypoint names, coordinates, categories, and notes
  • Journal entries and trip notes
  • Vehicle names and maintenance log records
  • Photos and videos attached to waypoints, journal entries, and maintenance logs

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the Export feature to create a backup file, which you control entirely.

Location

This app requests access to your device’s location to:

  • Record a GPS breadcrumb trail while a trip is active
  • Tag waypoints at your current position

Location data is stored locally on your device only. It is never sent to any server or shared with any third party.

You can start and stop location recording at any time from within the app.

Camera and Photo Library

This app requests access to your camera and photo library to allow you to attach photos and videos to waypoints, journal entries, vehicle records, and maintenance logs.

Photos and videos are stored locally on your device only. They are never uploaded or transmitted anywhere.

Microphone

Microphone access is requested by the camera system when recording videos. This app does not independently access the microphone for any other purpose.

Export and Import

The Export feature creates a ZIP file containing your trips, waypoints, journal entries, vehicle logs, and optionally your attached media. This file is created locally and shared only through channels you choose (such as AirDrop, email, or cloud storage). Simplico does not receive or have access to exported files.

Third-Party Services

This app does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.

Map tiles may be loaded from a map tile provider when the device is online. No personal data is sent as part of map tile requests — only the coordinates of the map area being viewed.

Children’s Privacy

This app does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published at the same URL with a new "Last updated" date. As this app collects no data, changes are expected to be minimal.
